A sexy category romance from Entangled publishing's Brazen imprint…

When the bedroom becomes the classroom…

Computer guru Abbi Hayes needs to kick her sex life into overdrive—and she’s designing the perfect App to make it happen. Thanks to all of the self-help bedroom tips she’s accumulating, she’ll be able to go from boring and passive to own-him-now vixen with a couple of swipes of a touch screen. And whenformer NBA basketball star Joe Burns offers to help her test out her ‘product,’ how can she say no?

Joe can’t quite believe this temptress-in-training is his formerly shy, geeky ex-math tutor. If Abbi wants to discover her inner vamp, he’ll happily be her how-to guide. But it only takes few face-to-face lessons to realize that underneath the talk, there’s a truly passionate woman begging to be claimed by someone strong. Someone like him.

Maybe it’s time to teach his former teen fantasy a few tricks of his own…

Geek. Nerd. These are words Abbi Hayes has known her whole life and words that she’s okay being labeled as. She even calls herself them from time to time. It’s who she is. But what she doesn’t like is being called boring, and a non-participant. Especially when it comes to the bedroom. Dumped by her boyfriend, she sets out to revamp her sex-life, to become a vixen. And given that she’s developing an app for the magazine she’s the IT manager for, she’s searching out the best advice for herself, and women just like her.

Enter Joe Fuller. Joe was tutored by Abbi in high school and developed a crush on her because of his time spent with her. She was the first person to really see him as someone other than a foster kid, a jock, a nobody. But when he tried to get her attention after their tutoring sessions ended, she didn’t even notice him anymore. So he moved on, graduating and becoming a star NBA player, never settling down and going after what he wanted, and who he wanted.

When a chance encounter brings the two together again, she finds the perfect source on sex, and he finally gets his chance at high school fantasy.

Taming His Tutor is definitely one of the more steamier Brazens I’ve read. From the way Joe dominated Abbi to the toys (loved this, more books should make use of toys), the heat was scorching. But no matter how hot the sex was, I found myself having a hard time connecting to the characters.

I did see a little bit of myself in Abbi, but her almost constant whining kept me from actually liking her. I understood that her confidence was low, and it’s a major plot of the story, but I didn’t feel like it needed to be mentioned as much as it was, which was a lot. Like, a. lot.

And then there’s Joe. I really have a hard time pinning down my thoughts about him. On one hand, it’s pretty cool he would help Abbi, even if it was mostly selfish, but on the other hand, why would a self-proclaimed womanizer keep going back to a woman who he felt like he was developing feelings for? He didn’t make much sense. By the end of the book he was groveling at Abbi’s feet, wanting to be something more than he’s been, for her. Not for him, but for her. Now, in my book, you should want to change for yourself, and no one else, because you usually end up resenting that person if things don’t work out.

Taming His Tutor took place in a span of less than two weeks. In that time Abbi’s confident miraculously skyrocketed and Joe started to become a totally different person than his characterization made him out to be. That’s just not realistic to me. Sure, it’s a romance novel and it’s meant to be a fantasy. I get that, I really do. But I still like some realism in my romance. This just felt like a glorified insta-love.

I definitely think a lot of people will like this story. It is second chances and amazing sex and friendship. But with the execution it just wasn’t for me.

This story was enjoyable with Abbi having switched positions and became the one needing tutoring. Joe while in high school needed a tutor and Abbi was the nerdy smart one that was given the job of helping him pass. Years down the road and much maturing both meet and Joe having unrequited attraction to Abbi offers up his "tutoring" services! Makes for some steamy studying sessions for sure!! Ultimately Abbi is also able to pass the final test with the help of her gorgeous tutor to make a four star read!
I really enjoyed this one. The story line is sex so any story line complaints are valid. However it is a short book so not really much time to develop the characters in depth. Main girl is pretty insecure so if you don't like hear it just about every chapter then skip this one. I do wish more time was spent on the HEA it was wrapped up super quick no real groveling or pinning they break up and next day get back together. However overall I really liked it. Perhaps a longer version will do the trick next time.
Abbi Hayes lacks confidence in her sexuality. She was dumped by her boyfriend in a very painful manner. Now she needs to learn the art of seduction. Who better to help her than former high school class mate, Joe Fuller. The former basketball player is known for his sexual conquests. Can opposites attract? I love Abbi. She's smart, funny and determined to learn by the book. Joe is sex on a stick. He's hot, easy going and doesn't want a relationship. These two both have emotional baggage that influences their decisions. Their attraction is white hot and very sensual. I loved watching their relationship grow and change. Joe trusts Abbi and tells her his deepest secrets, but he's afraid to commit. Natalie Anderson has a smooth and easy writing style that I enjoyed. I loved the characters and their "lessons". The story is well plotted and extremely hot. I enjoyed Taming His Tutor.
I didn't really care for it... I didn't hate it but i didn't really like it much either... The I'm a lousy lover/ I have no
clue how to attract a guy can my long time crush help me theme is kinda been there done that..but can still be
very interesting and fun and sometimes sounds like a great way to get you guy to finally take notice.. especially
in those stories where said guy realizes how Hot the girl is by seeing other guys coming on to her... I wonder how well
it's worked in real life ;)
while I had no problem with the theme usually the guy and girl ( Joe and Abbi) are getting to know each other while their
falling in love and realizing its not just Sex between them.... like in another Brazen Novel Seducing Cinderella has a similar
theme..only Reid is actually getting to know Lucie not just have sex with her... all Joe and Abbi really do is have Sex..even when
he starts to crave more she doesn't really wanna say and he really doesn't push and their chemistry is really isn't that great..
for me if you took the sex scenes out of a story this story you wouldn't have a story..or not much of one any way...
Now don't get me wrong I LOVE a good sex scene.. I DO!! but it honestly means more if I like and respect the characters and i
like them more if i get a chance to get to know them..sigh.. there really isn't anything to know about Abbi really soo little is there..
I know she;s a bit of a perfectionist at times but after just 2 lovers? she's this worried about being able to please a man? all they
do really is go from one sex moment to the next with little to no substance in between....
no thanks (
i soo wish e-books were return able (
