Aquaponics The Ultimate Aquaponics Guide From Beginner To Expert Aquaponics Hydroponics Homesteading edition by Thomas Thatcher Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks Reviews
I found this book to be helpful and well written. All information and guides of this book are being direct and easy to understand. The author of this book has done a better job and has explained each point clearly. I am a visual learner and I had huge expectations from this book. But this book is enough good and it also fulfilled my expectation.
I wanted something that would help me understand all of the systems required and at this point this book really helped me a lot. This guidebook answered all of the first round of questions I had and I already made a plan about how to build this system in my house. Are you ready to grow a great portion of your own food in healthy and fun way, then this book will help you a lot, and this is my highest recommendation. Here you will find pretty much everything you would need to plan out your own Aquaponics garden like me. I will recommend this book to all.
As someone who had no clue that aquaponics even existed before being told about it by my gardening neighbor one day, I became curious and wanted to learn more about it, so I picked up this nifty little book. The author did an excellent job explaining in laymen's terms everything that you would need to know to get started becoming successful in aquaponics gardening, and enabling both your fish and your plants to thrive. I really liked the book, and think it's a great beginners guide, and I recommend it to anyone curious or just getting started with aquaponics.
This is the only book I could find on Aquaponics after looking for 30 minutes. I hadn't started my own aquaponics set-up yet, but am extremely interested in doing so. I wanted something that would help me understand all of the systems required, how to plan a build, and what to expect once it's set up. This little book did a good job of answering all of the first round of questions I had. Next is acting and following up on forums full of others doing similar work. This book covers pretty much everything you would need to plan out your own aquaponic garden.I can't wait to start.
I expected more depth of knowledge. I expected drawings of the various systems described. I expected this BOOK to have been proofread and edited. There are multiple run on sentences that I had to read over and over to understand what the author was trying to convey. And typos "swallow trench"! Huh?
Only a few places other readers thought worthy of highlighting. I agree with them.

This is a great guide on aquaponics, I have started my setup, even though I know which plants I wanted to raise, I didn't know which species of fish would more compatible with those plants. This book has a great list of fish that are compatible with the plants I wanted to raise. I wish I had read this book earlier!
This book has all the information that you have to end up a specialist in aquaponics cultivating.
Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture that means raising aquatic life and hydroponics that means growing plants without soil. The three major components of aquaponic system is the fish, water and bacteria. This system uses less water, less energy and less land to produce the same amount of crops that traditional farming produces.
The book will guide you through your own aquaponic system in your backyard and provide fruits and vegetables for your family and friends step by step.
As aquaponic plants are safer than organic, it is extremely beneficial to environment and family.
I am very glad to read this book. It is a brilliant manual, the tips and counsel given was fabulous!
This book is a good overview of the process of aquaponics but falls a little short of being the complete and certainly not ultimate guide. While I believe the reader will have a decent understanding of the process and maybe able to set up a simple system many details are missing. For instance build instructions are imprecise and lack any pictures. Also while some calucations for system balance are mentioned far too little detail is given. Nothing about establishing plants is mentioned at all; it just says add plants. Materials for construction are also very generalized. Care and selection of fish Is also not covered in depth. There are other shortcomings but I think you get the picture. If you are new to aquaponics and looking for a good introduction to the practice this is a great book. As a matter of fact had the book been titled "introduction to aquaponics" I probably would have given it 4 if not five stars. However if you looking for a true in depth guide this is not what you are looking for. Note I have been interested and researching aquaponics online off and on for the last year or so. I have found all the information contained in the book in one form or another for free online, most of it much more in depth. So if you are like me and have done a fair amount of searching and reading I would say you can probably pass this one up unless you are looking for a single source structured overview.
I was curious about Aquaponics since I've heard from my neighbors that it can be perfect solution for your backyard garden for growing healthy vegetables and fruits.
