I've known Reef Perkins for years and I read his first book and loved it. So I was naturally drawn to this book to - and it didn't let me down. Screwed, Blu'd and Tattooed is a zany book - very much like Reef! If you like Carl Hiaasen's zany writing, you'll love this book! I felt like I was in the story at times.

I hear there is a third book in the works and I can't wait!
As a man who lived in Key West for over 38 years, I understand this book as well as Capt. Reef Perkins' first book and memoir. I get it- Key West is a zany place not for the faint of heart or thin-skinned. Here is my review

I just finished Screwed, Blu'd and Tattooed and think the book is non-stop hilarious.

It is hard for me to separate myself from the names of bars, Keys and some references because I am too close to the source (Florida Keys). This posed no problem for me and the reader will be looking for these bars and places.

The intertwining of characters along with the ridiculousness of their feats and exploits was great and never disappointed.

I think that Capt. Perkins will ultimately be able to spin-off some reoccurring characters for future stories or books.

Blu and Beth, Trout and the Uncle Bagwidth for sure.

The canoe story reminds me of some situations that occur from time to time.

All-in-all, Capt. Reef Perkins is a gifted writer whom I expect to see, and look forward to more books from in the future.

More laughs than you can shake a stick at.
A long strange trip for sure.Vivid imagery and twisted logic light up the night as the plot flits hither and yon before coming to an epic climax. Climb aboard and hold on tight to this acid trip of a book. Not for the faint of heart.
The book is too silly to finish. The story starts out bad and goes to worse. I enjoyed Reef's first book and would recommend it to everyone but this one really missed the mark.
The cover art and title are good, possibly the best part. Writing has some nice word play and draws images well but mainstream readers may not get some of the humor and undercurrents. This coming from someone that appreciates the humor in Zappa and the Fugs. A fun read but I was hoping for a bit more. I had to put it down and pick it up later. I'll remember Reef's Sex, Salvage, & Secrets memoir longer. Still it's a fun read that paints an interesting set of unbelievable characters.
